EMPLOYMENT
Health, Vision & Dental Insurance: NWPC strives to offer a group health, vision and dental plan for its eligible employees. The following section describes current benefits:
All Full-Time/Part-Time Regular employees are eligible for benefits after the initial 90 days of employment. Full-Time Regular employees Medical and Dental premiums for employee only coverage are paid in full by NWPC. . Part-Time Regular employees premiums for employee only coverage are paid at ½ rate by NWPC.
Voluntary Supplemental Plan: This is a benefit plan that is offered to employees of NWPC to help off set inpatient hospital services.
Flexible Spending Plan: This is a benefit offered to employees of NWPC who want to take advantage of certain health related and/or dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
Disability Insurance: A long term disability policy is generally provided by NWPC. . Full-Time Regular employees are eligible for this benefit. A short term disability policy is also available to full-time regular employees; cost to employee is based on annual salary.
Credit Union: NWPC is a member of the Providence Credit Union. All full and part time employees of NWPC .
401K Plan : Employees who have completed a full year of employment with NWPC and who work at least 1000 hours per year are eligible. An eligible employee may choose the amount to be deducted from their payroll check, during open enrollment in January and July. This amount is not subject to Federal or State withholdings, but is subject to FICA taxes. NWPC may match a percentage of the employee's contribution.
Each year, NWPC will determine if an additional employer contribution will be made to the 401k Plan. (The contribution may be referred to as a Safe Harbor contribution.).
Life Insurance , Accidental Death & Disability: Full Time employees who have satisfactorily completed their introductory period are covered
