If you have questions about your account, you may call our business office during office hours and one of our Patient Account Representatives will assist you. Most calls are answered within 60 seconds but wait times may be longer, especially on Monday and Tuesdays.

Payment/Billing Policies & Procedures  
Northwest Primary Care Office bills your health plan within a few days of your visit. Health Plans usually pay within 30 days. Occasionally a health plan asks you for additional information before paying your claims. In this case insurance processing may be delayed beyond 30 days.

After your insurance carrier has processed your claim, you will receive a statement for the remaining patient balance, such as coinsurance or deductible. Your balance is due upon receipt of your statement.  

Responsibility for accounts

  • It is important that you communicate with your Health Plan when they send you an inquiry or a dispute arises. Claims payment and/or non payment disputes with insurance companies are your responsibility to resolve.
  • Parents or other legal guardians, with whom children reside, are considered the account guarantor and as such are responsible for payment for minor children. Northwest Primary care is not responsible for managing divorce decrees and other legal matters pertaining to payment responsibility.
  • Patients age 18 and older are considered adults and will be responsible for their own account. The parent can remain on the account as the policy holder for the health plan.

Payment Arrangements
Payment is due upon receipt of statement. If you are unable to meet the clinic’s standard payment requirement, a scheduled payment plan may be arranged. Please call our credit department at 503-659-4777 to make arrangements.
