YOUR HEALTH

It is very important to us you understand your health status. Three questions you may want to ask your Practitioner at each visit are:

  • What is my main problem?
  • What do I need to know?
  • Why is it important for me to do this?

These questions are also useful at hospital visits, pharmacy trips, and before procedures. They remind the medical professional that you are a patient who is interested in understanding your condition and its treatment.

Below are some more tips for getting the most of your care with us:

  • Bring any paper work you need filled out to your visit. If it is done later, there may be an additional charge.
  • If you find you have difficulty remembering instructions, bring in a friend or family member to your visit, or ask the Practitioner or Nursing Staff to write things down for you.
  • If you do not have prescription drug coverage or find you are having a difficult time paying pharmacy co pays, alert your Practitioner or Nursing Staff; often drug companies have programs for people who cannot afford their medicines.

Always talk with your Practitioner or Nursing Staff before stopping or changing the dose of your medication.   They will be able to tell you if it is safe to do so.
