Approach to Patient Care
I believe in providing compassionate, patient-centered care that prioritizes understanding, empathy, and collaboration. My philosophy centers on creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where patients feel respected and empowered to express their health concerns openly. My approach is rooted in education and partnership.
I believe in empowering patients by helping them understand their health conditions, treatment options, and the steps they can take to improve or maintain their well-being. I view my role not as an authority, but as a guide and advocate, providing patients with the information they need to make informed decisions about their care.
Personal Interests
I was raised in Portland, Oregon, where my passion for medicine, patient care, and serving my community began to grow. This interest deepened during my time working in clinical research at the Knight Cancer Institute at Oregon Health & Science University, before I went on to pursue PA school. I am honored to contribute to both patient care and clinical research at Northwest Primary Care. Working directly with patients to improve their health is incredibly fulfilling, and it’s equally motivating to be involved in clinical research that helps advance the field of medicine for future generations.
Outside of the clinic, I am an active member of our community. As a ski patroller at Mt. Bachelor, I help ensure the safety and well-being of outdoor enthusiasts. I am also an avid cyclist and frequently volunteer with local cycling groups, promoting safe riding and encouraging physical fitness across the city. Whether working with patients in the office, on the slopes, or on the road, I am driven by a commitment to improve health and well-being in every aspect of life. With a strong foundation in both clinical practice and research, I strive to bring a holistic and informed approach to patient care, working to make a positive impact on both individual health outcomes and the broader Portland community.
