Approach to Patient Care
I grew up in Los Angeles after immigrating to the United States from Taiwan when I was six. I have always known I would be a physician—perhaps because I come from a family of physicians! More importantly, I think of medicine as a way I can use my skills to help the community. I enjoy the complexity and variety of Family Medicine. The ability to establish long-term relationships with patients is very rewarding, and I seek to cultivate open and honest doctor-patient relationships that foster trust.
Personal Interests
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my two children, walking the dog, doing crossword puzzles, and running. I have run a few half marathons and various 5K and 10K races in the Portland area. My favorite part of Portland is the beautiful trails around the city! My children and I also enjoy the occasional outdoor adventure, like river rafting or camping.
