Approach to Patient Care
As someone that has worked in the hospital setting, I know what happens when health declines. I want to work with my patients to help them make the most of their health and prevent long-term problems. I find it satisfying to educate patients on the "why" so they have better understanding of their health and plan of care.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the challenges that LGBTQIA+ patients may face and hope to have an open and accepting environment for all that I work with. I also really enjoy working with children and families.
Personal Interests
I have lived in the Pacific Northwest since 2005 and was a professional ballet dancer at the time. When my career as a ballet dancer ended, I went back to school for healthcare and found myself drawn to nursing. I became a provider so that I can have a bigger impact and directly partner with those that I work with. I am married to a wonderful husband and we plan to start a family in the next few years. Some of my hobbies include cooking, weightlifting, and home improvement projects.
