Approach to Patient Care
My favorite part of being a Family Nurse Practitioner is getting to provide care to patients at every life stage. I grew up within the healthcare industry in Portland, taking my first step onto the floor at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center as a Registered Nurse ( RN ) in 2003. For well over a decade I worked as an acute care and home health RN in both the Providence and Legacy health systems. As my passion to care and nurture people never waned, I found myself drawn to preventative focused care and entered the Family Nurse Practitioner program at San Francisco State University the Fall on 2015. Since Graduating with my MSN in 2017, I have focused my practice on family and women’s health, with special interests in Obstetrics, sexual and reproductive health, and social determinants of health for women. I am so pleased to be a part of the Northwest Primary care family in Oregon City, where I get to pursue all those avenues of patient centered care.
Personal Interests
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my quirky-wonderful family and friends. I also enjoy all the beautiful Northwest has to offer, including running, hiking, swimming in lakes and rivers, biking, watching football, eating world class cuisine, and drinking the amazing wine and beer made locally!
