COVID-19 Vaccine Information

The CDC has issued new guidelines for who is eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in the fall of 2026:

  • All adults age 65 and older
  • People between the ages of 6 months and 64 years old with at least one health condition that puts them at high risk for severe COVID-19 (see list of accepted high-risk health conditions here)
  • People who work in healthcare facilities and/or live in long-term care facilities

Getting the vaccine at NWPC

NWPC does not currently have the COVID-19 vaccine in stock, but we expect to in the coming weeks. We will have limited stock of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine available.

COVID-19 vaccines will only be administered only at provider visits. Due to limited supply, NWPC will not be able to offer standalone COVID-19 vaccine appointments. If you are a current patient who is eligible to receive the vaccine and you have an upcoming appointment, let your provider know you would like to receive it at your appointment.

Please note that due to limited supply, we cannot guarantee vaccine availability at any given time.

If you are under the age of 65 and do not have one of the accepted high-risk conditions, NWPC cannot administer or prescribe the vaccine.

Getting the vaccine at a pharmacy

Local pharmacies (such as Walgreen’s, CVS, etc) may have the COVID-19 vaccine available. If you are a current patient of NWPC and qualify for the vaccine by age or you have at least one health condition that puts you at high risk for COVID-19, your NWPC provider can write a prescription for you beginning September 14.

On or after September 14, to request a prescription:

  1. Send a secure message to your provider using your patient portal. In the message, please note which of the accepted high-risk conditions qualify you for receiving the vaccine. This will help our care teams expedite the process.
  1. Call our Patient Communications Team at 503.659.4988, Option 2. Please be prepared with the name of the high-risk condition that qualifies you for the vaccine. Â
