Northwest Primary Care has an exciting opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant to fill a full-time position on our Patient Communications Team! Our team works closely with providers, patients, and floor staff as the hub and front line of communication. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with patients of all ages, have a patient-oriented mindset, and thrive in a team environment. This is an inbound medical call center position, Monday – Friday.

Job Type:

Full time, Monday – Friday

Duties include:

  • Working closely with physicians and clinical staff as the “front line” of patient communication
  • Returning phone calls as needed
  • Understanding and supporting the office’s HIPAA privacy practices; maintaining strictest
    confidentiality
  • Participating in all required meetings
  • Performing other related or non-related work as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical assistant theory and practice
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures for administering patient care
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment
  • Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of a medical assistant
  • Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions
  • Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance/measures
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and
    the public
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergent situations
  • Ability to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate clearly with competency in language, grammar, and spelling in both verbal
    and written form
  • Basic computer skills

Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with electronic health record

Salary to commensurate with education, training and experience
