Meet Our Pediatric Providers
Many of our providers are Family Medicine Physicians/Advanced Care Providers (Physician Associates and Family Nurse Practitioners). This means that they provide whole-life care and can see patients at any stage of life! Guide for New Pediatric Patients at NWPC
We can't wait to welcome you to NWPC! To register your child and get them scheduled for their first appointment, follow the steps below. Questions? Feel free to reach out to our team by calling 503.659.4988 or sending an email to patient.care@nwpc.com.
Step 1: Call Our Scheduling Team
When you find a provider who you think would be a good fit for your child, call our Scheduling team at 503.659.4988, Option 1 to get your child's first appointment set up. Our Scheduling team is available from 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Step 2: Complete Pre-Check via Phreesia
Once your child's first visit has been scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email and text message from our digital check-in platform, Phreesia. This message will include a link to a "pre-visit," which is a set of digital forms that will ensure we have the information we need to see your child.
Step 3: Check in for your appointment
Please arrive at your appointment's designated arrival time, which will be included in all communications from Phreesia. When you arrive for your appointment, please check in with our receptionist. We will ask you to verify your insurance information, address, telephone number and any special billing instructions. We will also ask for your current insurance card to be scanned into our system. Be sure and bring:
- Your current insurance card (if applicable)
- Valid photo identification
- Any co-pays required by your insurance (to be collected at check-in)
- Any pre-appointment deposit required by NWPC (if applicable)
- A list of any medications your child is currently taking (including prescription and over-the-counter medications, and herbal supplements)
Established Pediatric PatientsÂ
Once your child is established with one of our pediatric providers, you can use our convenient online appointment booking platform to schedule future visits. Your provider will make sure your child stays up-to-date on routine medical screenings and immunizations through annual exams specifically for growing kids and adolescents (plus, we'll remind you when it's time to schedule!). We also offer same-day appointments for last-minute illnesses and urgent needs, as well as appointments on Saturdays at our Milwaukie location. In addition, one of our providers is always available after-hours through our answering service.
