Nutrition Counseling

Nutrition is one of the most essential aspects of caring for your health. As part of our holistic approach to health care, we provide nutritional education and counseling to our patients. Our nutrition specialist,  Jacki Abbott (licensed and registered dietician and diabetes education specialist), is available to see you for a variety of nutritional concerns.

These may include general nutritional advice; help with dietary restrictions associated with diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, GERD, and gluten intolerance, as well as infant and child feeding concerns, food allergies, and food intolerance.

Jacki is also available for one-on-one appointments and group discussions regarding your questions about weight loss or weight gain. Please ask your primary health care provider for more information. These services are currently available at our Milwaukie, Sellwood, and Talbert Clinics.

Pediatric Care

Our approach to adolescent nutritional education focuses on creating a partnership between you and your adolescent children so that you can work together to maintain healthy attitudes and habits for the whole family. We provide education for you and your child about the nutritional values of foods, healthy eating habits, and the importance of including exercise as a daily routine.

Men's Care

Maintaining healthy attitudes and eating habits is important throughout adult life. Our adult nutritional education focuses on continuing to support your health by making sure you have the information you need regarding the importance of daily exercise, the nutritional values of foods, and healthy eating habits as preventive measures for diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic diseases.

Women's Care

We know how important nutrition is to keeping our families healthy, but it is easy to forget about our own nutritional needs. Our nutritional education program is designed to provide you with the information and support you need to maintain your own health, as well as the health of your family. We offer counseling and classes about the nutritional values of foods, healthy attitudes and eating habits, and the importance of daily exercise in preventing diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic diseases.

Senior Care

Nutrition is an important part of staying healthy through all stages life, but as we age, our nutritional needs and concerns change. Our nutritional education for seniors focuses on continuing to support healthy attitudes and eating habits throughout later adult life, and education about daily exercise, the nutritional values of foods, and the importance of proper nutrition for managing chronic diseases and loss of appetite.
